Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, Drug Supply (GCS)

Under the guidance of the Director, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Supply (PSCS), this position is accountable for providing comprehensive financial support to Global Clinical Supply (GCS) and Global Clinical Development (GCD) for Drug Supply (both externally-purchased comparators and our Company-sourced materials) across our Company’s clinical portfolio. As a key business partner, the position will support clients through the development of financial, strategic, and operational plans for Drug Supply. The individual in this role is required to think strategically and identify opportunities to influence various parts of our Research & Development Division Finance organizations to drive efficiencies in the Drug Supply planning and forecasting process.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing strong relationships with cross-functional key partners including but not limited to the Global Clinical Supply team and the Global Clinical Development Finance team to ensure coordinated planning and execution of client area priorities and to enable an active role as a business partner and advisor.
Facilitating the development, execution, and analysis of strategy and business plans
Developing expense budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range operating plans that enable clients to meet their goals and achieve broader organizational targets.
Work with key stakeholders in the development of the drug supply budget, variance analysis, and communication of risks & opportunities
Playing a central role in developing the Profit Plan, Long Range Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, and Quarterly Refreshes at the clinical protocol level for drug supply cost and non-Company Led drug collaboration studies.
Performing monthly close responsibilities, including preparing journal entries, reviewing actual results, providing variance commentary, analyzing spending trends and proposing any corrective actions as necessary
Developing ad hoc analyses, processes, and tools in support of change initiatives and other business needs
In this role, the candidate should expect to:

Travel:
Limited to no travel in the job unless deemed important by the business or clients.
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Accounting, Business, Science or Engineering.
MBA or CPA Preferred
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 5+ years working in Operations or Finance
Strong computer skills especially working with SAP, BPC and MS Excel
Must have the desire to continuously learn and continue professional development
Strong financial acumen

Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a challenging and complex environment
