Medical Laboratory Technician/Hematology

We are seeking Medical Laboratory Technician/Hematology to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.
Job Summary:
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines
- Review routine data to confirm analytical procedures are performing as expected and results are within acceptable tolerances
- Identify unusual results or performance issues and escalate to senior laboratory personnel
- Prepare data analysis results for upload into the Laboratory Information Management System under the guidance of senior staff
- Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned
- Support quality investigations, deviations, procedural updates, and implementation of laboratory changes
- Guide entry-level staff on routine procedures and support onboarding and hands-on training activities
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some College of American Pathologists and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments laboratory locations may require a Bachelor of Science in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology
- 6 months experience in a regulated laboratory environment
- Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards, such as Good Laboratory Practices
- Proficiency with laboratory techniques, automation or specialized laboratory equipment, and Laboratory Information Management System supported workflows
- Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple laboratory tasks simultaneously
- Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and communicate clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling
- Ability to perform routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations, including averages, means, standard deviations, and quality control metrics
