The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing software application builds. The Project Manager assists with the production of the next generation of EVERFI’s digital learning products, working across design, development and content to facilitate the implementation of interactive courses and platform features, and to ensure on time delivery of digital learning products to market.
Responsibilities
Manage customer and internal stakeholders expectations and act as the single point of accountability for all aspects of the project, including but not limited to:
- Developing project plans that ensure timely product delivery.
- Managing project scope, tracking project status and change management activities.
- Detecting potential issues and implementing solutions.
- Maintaining project documentation and delivering project progress reports.
- Monitoring project deliverables to ensure quality is maintained.
- Manage the project intake, assist in scoping, identifying cross-functional dependencies and risks, and prioritize projects against other commitments and resource capacity.
- Understand, collect and document customer requirements, functional and technical to meet the customer needs.
- Negotiate project plans with the customers and any related third parties involved in the project for success.
- Create tickets in workflow management tool (Asana) to keep project contributors on track towards project milestone completion by monitoring dependencies, and facilitating effective communication within and across teams throughout all discovery and production phases.
- Plan, set and enforce sprint priorities including Agile processes with the product team, as well as expectations management for mid-sprint requests from product line owners.
- Prepare for, organize and lead standups and sprint planning meetings, along with other Scrum ceremonies, including project kick-offs and retrospectives.
- Manage project backlogs.
- Conduct post launch debriefs as well as ongoing maintenance requests.
- Gather team feedback and analyze metrics to identify areas of opportunity.
- Monitor and reconcile internal and external project budgets on a monthly basis.
- Manage vendor relationships and associated product development budgets.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical disciplines preferred or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager working in an agile environment; 4 years preferred
- Experience gathering and transforming business requirements into a project plan
- Ability to understand and communicate the needs of both designers and developers
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate with various audiences
- Ability to multi-task while managing multiple projects and overseeing daily project operations
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner and to adjust to quickly to changing priorities
- Strong problem solving skills and analytical skills
- Working experience with customer relationship management system (Salesforce) and ticket management system (Asana, Azure Dev Ops) preferred
- Project Management Professional certification preferred.
