General Description:
The HSE Advisor is responsible for the success of CCI Industrial Services safety management program, in accordance with all company, EPA and OSHA requirements. This position requires basic sampling, testing, training, documentation, employee mentoring, and record keeping for CCI employees and projects including: client courses, safety training, and atmospheric detection equipment.

- Ensure that safety is visible in the field by spending the majority of the day performing site visits.
- Encourage crew members to do behavior based safety and STEPBACK observations along with safety related activities in the field such as THA audits, safety observations/discussions and mentoring/coaching Peak employees.
- Conduct training in: Bloodborne Pathogens, Confined Space Entry, Energy Isolation, Respirator Protection, Hearing Conservation, Fall Protection, Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness, and various client based requirements.
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of company safety programs.
- Ensure that the CCI workforce comply with all CCI guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Schedule and oversee training courses in compliance with OSHA and client course standards.
- Track or assist in the tracking of employee records and ensure that all employees are compliant and up-to-date on all HSE and training requirements.
- Audit CCI jobsites for hazard recognition and evaluate hazard mitigation techniques as it relates to personnel and health concerns.
- Perform frequent formal and informal job site audits focusing on various specific and general HSE related issues and concerns.
- Audit company specific THA's on a regular basis to ensure they are being completed in accordance with client and CCI HSE standards and protocols.
- Active management of injuries, incidents, spills and equipment damage. Compile documentation, lead incident investigation and determine root causes as needed by CCI and client.
- Communicate daily with CCI employees, clientele and HSE Supervisor.
- Maintain 100% "Compliance Readiness" in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements.
- Maintain 100% "Safety Standards and Accountability" in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
- Compliance with required HSE training.
- Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
- Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly.
- Facilitating Peak safety meetings.
- Conducting or assisting in the conduction of investigations, witness statements, incident reports and communications with Peak Management and clients.
- Provide case management on slope and coordinate with Anchorage office supervision.
- Perform Jobsite walk-downs with the foreman to provide a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for the work to be completed.
- Ensure that JSA's/THA accurately and sufficiently contain the job steps, possible hazards and related mitigations for scope of work. Ensure that appropriate personnel have reviewed and signed the JSA/THA.
- Maintain and demonstrate proficient working knowledge of all response-related equipment, policies and procedures at all times.
