The Program Manager and Operability Leader for Gas Turbine Systems is responsible for the management of a portfolio of NPI programs, with the primary tasks of developing execution plans, maintaining schedules and budgets, setting priorities and managing resource challenges. In addition, this person will coordinate operability NPIs, uprates, and customer inquiries for our Gas Turbines in conjunction with other operability leaders. This role will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and company objectives associated with assigned F and HA engine platforms, their multi-generational development plans and derivative platforms.Job Description

The Gas Turbine Systems Program Manager & Operability Leader will be responsible for full program ownership, budget controllership and accountability for leading horizontally across the Finance, Operations, Product Management, Advanced Research Center, Global Supply Chain, and Gas Power Engineering teams. Additionally, in coordination with the Product Management and Engineering Platform Managers, this leader will co-develop and execute product strategies, create multi-generation product plans and be a visible champion of hardware and digital technology development that leads to state-of-the-art gas turbine performance in a reliable and flexible gas turbine package. As a Gas Turbine Systems Program Manager and Operability Leader, you will:
- Create and actively manage gas turbine development schedules and budgets that meet company objectives
- Work hand-in-hand with Finance and Operations to actively manage budgetary risks and opportunities through the year
- Create and actively manage program schedules for assigned gas turbine NPI programs to ensure on-time execution of engineering deliverables
- Team with Product Management and the Gas Turbine Platform Managers to create and cultivate the MGPP (Multi-Generation Product Plan) and MGTP (Multi Generation Technology Plan), to ensure continued viability of the F and HA gas turbines in the marketplace
- Be a Systems focal point for business rhythms; strategy sessions (MGPP, Session T, SII), financial closing periods, and related operations.
- Lead Cost and Cycle and EPDR scoping activities teaming with Platform Managers, SILs and Product Management
- Be a champion for developing state-of-the-art gas turbine hardware and digital technologies in order to anticipate, apply, or adapt to changing market needs
- Clearly communicate platform requirements to all aspects of the business with continued refinement throughout the effort
- Collaboratively work across organizations (manufacturing, services, engineering, product management) to improve processes, role clarity and tools, to improve organization speed and effectiveness
- Develop solutions that adhere to plant/customer constraints while making system-level trades to optimize emissions and flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- At least 8 years of relevant engineering experience
Desired Characteristics
- Master’s in Engineering or MBA
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Knowledge of GE Power’s products, processes, and organizational structure
- Organized, demonstrated ability to manage multiple unrelated tasks simultaneously
- High energy, self-starter, with a proven track record in delivering results
- Highly effective communicator with experience in presenting and interacting with leadership across multiple organizations
The salary range for this position is $111,200 - $185,400 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. This posting is expected to close on November 6th or thereafter.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
