Under the direction of the Imaging Manager, the Lead Technologist, and the Licensed Radiologic Technologist, performs clinical and related clerical functions, transports patients, assists technologist with patient positioning, schedules exams and cleans and stocks area as necessary in the following areas: X-ray; Nuclear Medicine, CT, MRI, and US.
Requires the knowledge usually acquired in high school in order to use computer systems..
Formal education as a patient care assistant or related education/experience is preferred but not required.
Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with parents, physicians, and other department personnel and coworkers.
Must be able to walk, stand for long periods, wearing protective equipment weighing 10-15 pounds over 80% of the assigned work period, as well as lift and position patients weighing up to 150 pounds.
Is certified in Basic Life Support Techniques (BLS)
Schedule:
This is a part time position working 40 hours every two week pay period. It is eligible for our full benefits package. The schedule would consist of 8:00-4:30 working 3 days one week and 2 days the next, opposite of other clinical assistant.
