OPS Research Assistant
Classification Minimum Requirements:• BS, MS or PhD in life sciences
• At least two of the following: mouse handling, primary cell culture, or flow cytometry
Responsibilities
• Rodent colony support, genotyping, tissue processing, and sample logistics
• Primary cell isolation, culture, viability and functional assays
• Flow cytometry setup, staining, acquisition, and preliminary analysis
• Inventory, ordering, and basic equipment maintenance
• Compliance support, IACUC and biosafety documentation, data entry into shared trackers
• Meticulous record-keeping in electronic lab notebooks
Training and growth
• Structured onboarding, SOPs, and competency checklists
• Opportunities to present data, co-author manuscripts, and learn new methods
$23.95 - $28.26 /hour
Required Qualifications:• BS, MS or PhD in life sciences
• At least two of the following: mouse handling, primary cell culture, or flow cytometry
• RNA extraction, qPCR, or library prep experience
• Basic scripting in R or Python, or willingness to learn
• Prior experience in immunology or reproductive biology
• CRISPR/CAS9 gene editing
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication
