The Automation Leader will oversee the performance of warehouse automation systems, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses a mechanical and technical background, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role is also responsible for coaching and developing the maintenance and site team members on processes, priorities that support performance, safety, people engagement, quality, food safety, cost, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Regularly review overall performance KPI’s with timebound ownership by analyzing data, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
- Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally and with OEM’s to assist with day-to-day automation problem solving to reach short/long-term performance goals
- Foster a results-driven environment, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
- Purposeful use of systems interacting with automated equipment (WMS, SAP, CMMS, OEM UI/HMI, Power Apps) as well as mechanical, electrical, and PLC applications
- Ensure that spare parts, components, and tools needed for maintenance are always available by ordering, forecasting, and monitoring material inventories
- Ensure that maintenance technicians are recording accurate and detailed information in work orders for accurate work history and data-driven decisions
- Determine if new maintenance equipment, methods, or tools are needed in order to improve asset reliability
- Support and drive the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) processes across all automated equipment resulting in improved operations, maintenance, and labor efficiency
- Develop, implement, monitor, optimize processes/standards in accordance with site goals to improve uptime and minimize costs
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, supply chain, or similar field
- Experience with systems relating to automation: WMS, SAP, CMMS, OEM UI/HMI, Power Apps
- High level of analytical skills, ability to use data to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, and accurately assess impacts
- Ability to think quickly, take initiative, think creatively and challenge others to do the same
- Leadership aptitude to get results through mentoring/coaching others
- Strong verbal and written skills fostering performance and continuous improvement throughout the organization
- Proven ability to work in a results-oriented, dynamic environment
