The Diet Clerk is responsible for the clerical processing of all diet, nourishment and menu orders. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
The Diet Clerk responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assembles and modifies patient menus according to diet orders and nutritional profiles prior to menu distribution
- Updates menus prior to each meal service
- Tallies patient menu items
- Processes all computer diet order requests
- The Diet Clerk reports to the Director Nutrition Services Exerting up to 20 lbs. Force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. Force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Stands or walks most of the day. Uses a computer and calculator up to 2 hours per day. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Exposure to food and patient odors. - Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition, with an emphasis in diet therapy, human physiology, chemistry, and/or adult education from an ADA-approved program
- Registration or registry eligible by the American Dietetic Association
- Oklahoma license or provisional license
- Previous experience as a clinical dietitian preferred
