Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Governance
- Define the global strategy, operating model, and governance for HCP engagements across four regions; own roadmap, budget, and KPIs.
- Partner with HCC and Legal to define global standards and playbooks for needs assessment, contracting, fee-for-service engagements, invoicing/payment, educational grants, charitable contributions, and transfer-of-value reporting.
HCP Engagement Lifecycle Ownership
- Own the North America end-to-end HCP engagement workflow: needs assessment, service request intake, contracting/approvals, onboarding/registration, delivery coordination, invoicing, payment, and post-engagement reporting.
- Ensure clear legal/compliance handoffs and controls for contracting and transfers of value.
Educational Grants and Charitable Contributions
- Own the North America end-to-end Educational Grants and Charitable Contributions workflow (e.g., tuition/travel grants, monetary/product/in-kind educational grants, fellowship support, local charity, medical missions, and indigent patient product contributions).
- Ensure clear legal/compliance handoffs and controls for grants and donations.
Systems & Data Strategy
- Lead the global systems portfolio strategy (e.g., HCP engagement systems/portals, Cvent or equivalent, CLM such as Sirion or equivalent, customer registration, and education/data lake).
- Prioritize roadmaps, integrations, data model, and vendor relationships to enable one global operating model with local flexibility.
