Job Description: What you will do:
Spawning Ground Surveyor: Conduct spawning surveys by locating, driving to and walking/boating selected stream reaches to count spawning salmon; contact private landowners to gain access to survey streams; walk standard and supplemental salmon spawning surveys every 7 to 10 days; float mainstem drift surveys, every 7 to 10 days, using motor boat, drift boat, or kayak; count adult salmonids and redds, identifies live fish species; record data collected on handheld computer or appropriate data forms; and operate a four-wheel drive vehicle to get to desired location.
