A Day in the Life

We are seeking a highly visible and ambitious leader to oversee the number one Value Stream in the Central Region, a vital production area undergoing a significant ramp-up critical to our business success and patient outcomes. This position, primarily on the 2nd shift with potential for weekend support, offers a unique opportunity to build and develop high-performing teams from the ground up.

As a key member of the production leadership team, this individual will work closely with the Sr. Manufacturing Manager and Operational Excellence (OPEX) representatives to deploy the Medtronic Performance System and OPEX methodologies. The role requires a strategic, innovative thinker eager to make a significant impact on manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.

  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.

  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets.

  • Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.

  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.

  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.

  • Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.

  • Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Proficient computer skills, Data Science and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement, Managing Quality.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements -

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience

Nice to Have:

  • Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent, demonstrating strong process improvement skills.

  • Experience in a Regulated Industry, with familiarity in compliance and quality standards for high-stakes manufacturing.

  • Strong Data-Driven Approach, with proven ability to analyze and utilize data effectively for informed decision-making and process improvements.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$77,600.00 - $116,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
