As our Business Development Analyst at Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals (COP), you will bridge our Business Operations, Analytics, & Global IT teams. Reporting to our newly formed Commercial Operations team within Customer Development (CDO-Sales), you will serve as our cross-functional "Business Analytics Translator”. You will work with internal stakeholders to identify high-value & actionable business questions, analyzing relationships in data to create visualizations & reports that drive data-driven decision processes across Marketing, Sales, Finance, & Supply Chain.
This position is based out of the Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
What you'll do
- Cross-Functional Operational Alignment: Support the integration of key operational frameworks across the organization to ensure business strategies are supported by efficient, scalable processes. Partner with key stakeholders to align COP’s data strategy with our cross-department business requirements to deliver sustainable value.
- Descriptive Analysis & Data Storytelling: Leverage your proficiency in SQL/cloud-based tools (e.g. Snowflake/BigQuery, DOMO/Sigma/Tableau) to analyze relationships in data. Specializing in Data Storytelling and Influence, you will analyze data relationships to create impactful visualizations & presentations that answer key business questions.
- Analytics Solution Design (UI/UX familiarity): Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by translating multi-departmental requirements into intuitive dashboard layouts. Prioritize end-user usability and stakeholder consumption patterns to build effective visualization layouts.
- Technical Collaboration & Integrity: Support our on-site Analytics/Data Engineers to design & build data pipelines & core analytics solutions. Own the validation of outputs against source data to ensure a "single source of truth" across all relevant business functions.
- Governance & Business Planning: Help monitor the COP business budget & Latest Estimates (LEs) while maintaining centralized SOPs & documentation (logic, metrics, design standards). Assist with cross-departmental reviews to ensure operational consistency & support the implementation of annual business plans.

Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the methodologies & systems that allow the company to drive revenue, while analyzing the long vs short-term consequences of decisions with business function interdependencies in mind.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent (Business, Marketing, Business Analytics, or STEM preferred)
- 1–2 years of experience in Customer Development, Marketing, Commercial Finance or Business Ops
- Proven proficiency in technical software for data analysis (e.g. MS Excel, GSheets, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, etc.) & visualization tools (e.g. DOMO, Sigma).
- Strong familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g. Snowflake, GCP)
- Strong familiarity with SQL (Basic → Intermediate)
