At the start of your journey with us, you will:— Audit the current system, find weak points, and improve performance quality— Build and execute performance and load testing strategy— Ensure the product withstands <b>large data volumes and heavy user load</b>— Cover core functionality with tests (automation + manual when needed)— Propose engineering improvements, not just report issues<br/>This is a role for someone who <b>thinks as an engineer, not just a tester</b>.<br/>This role is based in <b>our Lisbon office</b> in a hybrid format. If you are not currently in Portugal, we are open to remote work during the trial period, with relocation to Lisbon afterward. <h3>🧰 Day-to-Day Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li><br/></li><b>Automation Testing:</b><li>Develop, maintain, and optimize automated tests on Java</li><li>Use modern automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).Integrate tests into CI/CD processes.</li><b>Performance Testing:</b><li>Create scripts for load testing (1,000+ users).</li><li>Utilize tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.</li><li>Conduct performance tests, analyze results, and monitor the system under load.</li><li>Identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations to address them.</li><li>Implement best practices to ensure system stability.</li><b>Manual Testing:</b><li>Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.</li><li>Analyze requirements and create test cases.</li><li>Conduct manual testing of core system components.</li><li>Report detected issues and collaborate with developers to resolve them.</li></ul> <h3>📌 Requirements</h3> <ul> <li><br/></li><b>Technical Expertise:</b><li>Proficient in Java and experienced in using it for writing tests.</li><li>2+ years of experience in automation testing (knowledge of tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar).</li><li>2+ years of experience in performance testing (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or similar tools).</li><li>Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., Grafana, Kibana,).</li><li>Experience testing microservices architectures and APIs (Postman, Swagger, REST, SOAP).</li><li>Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Workspace, and Azure.</li><li>Understanding of database operations (e.g.,SQL, NoSQL) and ability to perform queries for testing.</li><b>Manual Testing Skills:</b><li>Proficiency in manual testing methods and approaches.</li><li>Familiarity with task tracking systems (Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps).
