We are currently seeking a Software Engineering Intern for our Huntsville, Alabama location in the summer of 2026. In this role you will:

• Perform software engineering to include design, development, and software/hardware integration.
• Develop software test procedures and perform functional verification testing and integration of new Software products and design refreshes.
• Provide hands-on software troubleshooting and problem-solving to address technical challenges supporting production and new development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Utilize the latest software design tools and methodologies

Basic Qualifications

• Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited college.

• Must be a US Citizen; and be able to acquire a government security clearance.

Desired skills

• Standard teaming: Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Familiarity and desire to learn software development.
• Ability and desire to learn multiple programming languages, operating systems, and development environments.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
