Our mission is to deliver excellence in support to Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) Information Technology (IT) Program Management Office (PMO) IT capabilities through the Defense Medical Logistics - Enterprise Solution (DML-ES) program. DML-ES PMO delivers capabilities to support the DoD and VA in Asset Management, Materiel Management, Assemblage Maintenance, Equipment and Biomedical Maintenance Management, and Facility/Environment of Care Management. The DMLS-ES PMO supports the software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities for the legacy Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) application and its replacement, LogiCole.
 
What is the position? 
The Quality Assurance Engineer will support the delivery of excellence in the software development, maintenance, and the global deployment of DMLSS/LogiCole across the Departments of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA). The QA Engineer will use agile methodologies to support the sustainment of Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), DMLSS Customer Area Management (DCAM), Joint Medical Asset Repository (JMAR) and Narcotics Ordering Review and Approval (NORA) to ensure functionality meets stakeholder needs, cybersecurity compliance, and data storage requirements.
 
What will I get to do?  

You will apply industry best practices, processes, and tools to ensure software meets quality standards that deliver excellence in software applications, to include:

  • Application and database testing against program requirements

  • Define test criteria aligned with story acceptance criteria 

  • Create, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks and solutions

  • Develop data driven testing plans

  • Perform manual and automated testing, including writing and maintaining automated test scripts, using testing tools and framework

  • Assist in creating automated build verification and system integration test frameworks and tests

  • Participate in estimation, planning, cost-of-quality, and quality risk analysis

  • Participate in reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents

  • Review software compliance against guidance set forth by Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Navy (DON), Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC).


What qualifications do I need? 

Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen, hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and show demonstrated experience in:

  • Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe, Scrum and Kanban

  • Software Quality Assurance Engineering or Testing

  • Medical facility compliance requirements and workflows

  • Using strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Understanding business objectives and translating them into technology solutions

  • DevSecOps methodologies and tools

  • Full Stack Webapp testing (Java, MongoDB, JSON, or Angular JS)

  • SAP Logistics Application testing (ABAP, SAP, ERP/SAP, ECC, SAP BI, or PI Broker)

  • Experience using Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), DMLSS Customer Area Management (DCAM), Joint Medical Asset Repository (JMAR) or  Narcotics Ordering Review and Approval (NORA)
