About the role

As the Servicing Operations Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for processing transaction requests for customers, branch colleagues and internal colleagues.

Primary responsibilities include

  • The Servicing Operations Senior Specialist in Payments Research investigates errors on customer accounts as requested by the branches or contact centers. They may resolve errors on items with other financial institutions using clearing house websites. They must reconcile their work within given time frames and balance their transactions at the end of the day. They may process recalculations on interest bearing accounts or be required to perform data entry of cases.

  • Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researching account errors using bank applications

  • · Processing account corrections to customer and/or General Ledger accounts within given service level agreement.

  • · Entering financial transactions to clear general ledger accounts, or customer errors using various systems

  • · Communicating with other financial institutions, branches or internal departments

  • · Other departmental duties as may be assigned

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 1 - 3 years of experience of working in an operations environment

  • Basic knowledge of accounting, i.e. how the correction will affect an account

  • Strong ability to multi-task & strong organizational skills

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills

  • Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Financial services experience

  • Strong compliance/regulatory environment knowledge/skills

  • Education:

  • Associate's Degree preferred but not required.  High School diploma or equivalent required.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per week:  40

  • Work Schedule:  8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, position requires 4 days in office in Riverside RI (1 day from home)
