🏡 About the Role
Centria is seeking compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented caregivers to join our team in Howard City. You will provide essential one-on-one attendant care for an adult woman recovering from a severe motor vehicle accident (2024).
This is a 24/7 care case, meaning we are looking to fill consistent 12-hour shifts (Day and Night availability) to ensure she has the support she needs around the clock. If you are looking to make a profound difference in someone’s recovery journey, we want to hear from you.
Case Details & Responsibilities
Our client is navigating a complex recovery involving a right leg amputation, healing rib fractures, and recovering from significant facial injuries. Your role is to provide a safe, supportive environment that fosters both physical healing and emotional well-being.
- Mobility Support: Assisting with transfers, positioning, and navigating daily life with a limb amputation.
- Personal Care: Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
- ADLs: Helping with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands as needed.
- Monitoring: Observing healing progress and providing companionship during the recovery process.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate daily logs of care provided and any changes in status.
Shift Availability
- 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Full-time and Part-time schedules available.
- Reliability is a must given the 24/7 nature of the script.
📝 Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in home health, CNA, or medical assistant roles preferred (specifically with trauma or surgical recovery).
- Character: Patient, empathetic, and able to maintain a positive environment.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to assist with transfers and light lifting.
- Experience working with fall-risk and mobility-impaired clients strongly desired
- Must be comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
- Reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs
- Comfortable working in a private home setting
- Ability to work independently and follow a care plan
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Comfortable using tablets/computers for documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow all care protocols
- Ability to address minor medical concerns as they arise
✅ Responsibilities
- Assist with mobility and transfers to prevent falls
- Provide basic personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
- Monitor and assist with oxygen therapy as needed
- Prepare light snacks or drinks upon request
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance throughout the shift
- Assist in positioning and turning to prevent discomfort
- Document and report changes in client condition promptly
- Respond to emergencies following proper procedures
- Perform duties as outlined in the patient’s plan of care
- Monitor client’s physical and mental condition, intake/output, and exercise
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy care environment
- Follow professional standards, care policies, and local/state/federal requirements
