***This position has hybrid capabilities for those that live in or around the Winfield area. ***
Do you like working with older youth to promote self-sufficiency and skill building? Do you want to have a flexible work schedule, be a part of a team and make a difference in the lives of others?
We are looking for an Independent Living Specialist to add to our foster care service team! All you need is a High School diploma or GED and two years’ experience working with children and families. An associate degree in the Human Services field may be substituted for experience. Knowledge of the foster care system would be helpful but not required. We will teach you the rest!
A Day in The Life as an Independent Living Specialist
As an IL specialist you will work with older youth in foster care to ensure their planning and transition into young adulthood is successful. You will partner with case teams, placement providers and the youth to support their plans for school, living and employment beyond their time in foster care. You will help to ensure they have the skills needed to be successful in the future.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, eager to learn, enjoys working with older youth to help connect them with community resources to improve their lives. We want someone who has a desire to help all children grow, learn, and build healthy futures and a strong desire to advocate for themselves.
