Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to support high-performance computing and data-intensive applications.
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure robust and secure connectivity across multiple office locations and remote teams.

  • System Administration:
  • Manage and maintain servers, including Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines and cloud services.
  • Ensure regular system backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Security Management:
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Monitor for security breaches and respond to incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to team members, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage IT helpdesk, ensuring timely resolution of support tickets.
  • Take the initiative on IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Software Management:
  • Install, configure, and manage software applications and licenses.
  • Support the development and deployment of in-house software solutions.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to optimize performance and scalability.

  • Hardware Management:
  • Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of hardware, including workstations, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Ensure inventory management and asset tracking for all IT equipment.
  • Evaluate and recommend new hardware technologies to enhance productivity and performance.

  • Project Management:
  • Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address IT needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in IT administration and support, preferably in a startup or research environment.
  • Proficiency in managing Linux, Windows, and macOS systems.Strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Required skills & experience:

  • Proven experience in managing Google Workspace in a corporate environment.
  • Experience in writing automation scripts in Google Workspace
  • Proven experience with GCP.
  • Proven experience with the administration of GitLab, Confluence & Office.
  • Strong understanding of MDM solutions, particularly Jamf or JumpCloud.
  • Experience deploying and managing security solutions like FortiNet VPN.
  • Proficient in using monitoring tools such as Grafana and ElasticSearch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML framew
