About the role

Responsibilities:Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their financial situation and goals. Provide expert advice on mortgage products that best fit their needs.Loan Application Process: Assist clients with the loan application process, ensuring all required documentation is collected and accurately completed. Guide clients through each step of the process and answer any questions.Product Knowledge: Stay informed about various mortgage products, interest rates, and industry trends. Offer clients detailed information about loan options, terms, and conditions.Credit Analysis: Review and analyze clients’ financial documents, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine loan eligibility. Provide pre-qualification and pre-approval services.Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, builders, and other industry professionals. Generate referrals and build a network of contacts.Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to attract new clients. Participate in community events, open houses, and networking opportunities to promote mortgage services.Compliance: Ensure all loan applications and processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. Stay updated on changes in mortgage regulations.Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of all loan transactions, client interactions, and required documentation. Prepare and submit necessary reports to management.Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process. Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues.Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the mortgage industry.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.4+ years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or in a related financial services role.Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements.Excellent sales and negotiation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.Proficiency with mortgage loan origination software and tools.High level of integrity and professionalism.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license is required.
