The pay for this role is $17.42 per hour. 

SIXT is looking for a Customer Service & Vehicle Agent to join the Houston Downtown Team. They will deliver exceptional customer service to customers from around the world, provide customers with accurate information, and take detailed and timely records of damages, gas volume, etc.

The agent is also responsible for the care and maintenance of the company’s vehicles and performing maintenance checks based on vehicle requirements. The ideal candidate possesses the following attributes: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; Ability to manage stressful or unusual situations to maintain good customer service.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Exterior and interior cleaning of rental vehicles, including  
• Removing debris and trash from the seats, foot wells and trunk. 
• Vacuuming upholstery and perform light stain removal when needed. 
• Wiping dashboard, center consoles and other surfaces with microfiber cloth/cleaner. 
• Cleaning the inside of the windshield and windows. 
• Clean and dry the exterior of the vehicle by hand using a pressure washer, detergent, brushes, and towels/rags, or by running the vehicle through a tunnel car wash. 
• Remove any items left behind by previous vehicle users and follow Sixt’s lost and found process. 
• Check fluid levels and add windshield fluid, oil, water, and antifreeze as required. 
• Refuel or recharge vehicle at a gas tank or EV charging station, as required. 
• Move cars to and from vehicle return area, car wash and vacuum station, gas station, EV chargers, maintenance lots, off-site overflow lots and ready line parking as needed. 
• Perform basic maintenance checks to include antennas, under the hood, inside the vehicle, inside the trunk, and outside vehicle (trunk to trunk). 
• Verify appropriate stickers are attached to vehicle (registration, plates, etc.), and required documents are placed in glove compartment. 
• Keep work area clean and organized. 
• May assist with local automobile deliveries. 
• Welcome all customers as they arrive on the lot
• Ask about their experience with Sixt, recording feedback to improve future rental experience
• Make sure customers have all personal belongings from the vehicle
• Discreetly check vehicle for damage on incoming vehicles and direct customer to counter for completion of damage/loss report
• Use proper statement to determine if vehicle is being returned with full tank of gas
• Advise and review rental charges, providing an accurate receipt to the customer
• Provide information regarding transportation to the airport terminal if applicable
• Complete a service alert for any mechanical and or body damage communicated by the customers
• Identify and tag vehicles that have been flagged for grounding or preventative maintenance and verify their movement to the proper lot location
• Keep lot organized for ease of access and traffic flow
• Work in outdoor weather conditions including direct sunlight, rain, heat or cold
• Perform other job duties as assigned to meet the business needs

Qualifications

About you:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required 
• Be at least 21 years old 
• Have 1 year of previous working experience 
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record 
• Able to work 40 hours a week including day and/or evening hours 
• Must be willing to wear company uniforms 
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
