Software Configuration Professional II

About your role:

As a Software Configuration Professional II, you will configure, maintain, and improve software solutions that support business and client requirements. You will work with engineering, product, operations, and support teams to implement configuration changes, troubleshoot issues, and promote reliable system performance. Your work helps deliver stable, accurate, and scalable technology solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Configure, test, and maintain software applications and system settings to support business requirements and client needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and configuration changes.
  • Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting to identify defects, resolve issues, and improve application performance.
  • Maintain and enhance existing configurations, code, and supporting documentation to promote system stability and operational accuracy.
  • Support deployment activities, continuous integration and continuous delivery processes, and change management practices across environments.
  • Review technical solutions and provide guidance on configuration standards, implementation approach, and issue resolution.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 4+ years of experience in software configuration, software development, application support, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience using Java, C, C#, C++, or a similar object-oriented programming language in a business environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL) databases for querying, validation, and issue analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar cloud services.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile delivery methods.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience supporting software solutions in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with release management, environment configuration, or production support processes.
  • Experience using source control and build tools in a team-based development environment.

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
