Cyber Remediation Consultant
Location: Bronx And Queens, NY
Duration: 1 Year
Scope of Work
This consultant, with supervision from Client Mobile Technology management and group lead, will perform the following core functions.
1. Work on Client IT equipment such as laptops, tablets and smartphones.
2. Follow Client provided work task checklists for device remediation and software updates.
3. Work closely with on-site Technical Support team and follow supervisory directions to implement cyber remediation processes for Client IT devices.
4. Work directly with end users to troubleshoot issues that prevent regular patching, updates, and compliance.
5. Escalate out of scope issues encountered during performance of assigned tasks.
6. Replace malfunctioning devices and set up Client staff on replacement devices
7. Report any cyber security exposure or breach, if encountered on a device being serviced.
8. Document work efforts as directed.
9. Perform additional technical tasks assigned to augment ongoing cyber remediation efforts.
10. Work location subject to change, contingent on project needs.
These activities will directly reduce open vulnerabilities, restore non-compliant devices, and safeguard Client’s technology environment against escalating cyber threats.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in IT Technical Support in an enterprise environment.
Minimum 1 year experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating system
Minimum 1 year experience supporting mobile devices running Android or Apple iOS operating systems.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Android and iOS devices.
Experience using ticketing systems for task assignment and resolution
Education and Skills:
Associate’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity engineering, information systems or related discipline.
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Android and Apple iOS operating systems
Experience installing operating system and security software on multiple computers, smartphones and other equipment.
Understand and follow broad and complex instructions in verbal and written form.
Comprehend technical language and to confer, analyze and communicate in an objective, lucid manner.
Work independently and prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to needed changes.
Preferred certifications: A+ from CompTIA
