About the role

The Sr. Analyst of Revenue Management is responsible for the overall improvement of sales related investments within the Foodservice Channel.  The Sr. Analyst owns ROI improvement on expenditures such as pricing, programming and other customer related spending for distributors, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), and operators. Reviews customer level trade programming and recommends ways to improve programming to enhance ROI.  Works cross-functionally with Sales to explain programming changes and implement recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead margin improvement for Wells Enterprises within the Foodservice Channel
  • Evaluate all bids, RFPs, and trade programs within the Foodservice channel to ensure that ROI is accretive to margin targets and in line with customer performance expectations
  • Review bids annually to ensure volume meets expectations; adjust pricing based on updated volume projections and work with Sales to communicate to customers
  • Ensure programming falls within Revenue Growth Management (RGM) guidelines; update guidelines as necessary
  • Review distributor & GPO pricing and programming for enhancement opportunities and work with Sales to implement changes and track performance
  • Develop pricing guidelines and manage Foodservice pricing brackets
  • Manage pricing gap between branded & private label offerings in Foodservice channel and build branded value story to increase customer’s willingness to pay 
  • Develop distributor growth programs and work with Sales to execute and monitor performance
  • Lead the annual trade planning process for Foodservice that incorporates key sales strategies and initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Trade Development, and Sales to ensure that recommendations are agreed to and implemented at the customer level
  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (Mathematics, Business, Economics, Computer Science); MBA preferred
  • 5+ years in a financial analysis, pricing analysis, or other highly analytical role. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience and knowledge of Nielsen / IRI data an asset
  • Familiar with pricing and trade optimization
  • Working knowledge of Tableau required
  • Superior Excel skills required, including the ability to manipulate large sets of data. 
  • Experience working with SQL preferred
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain complicated scenarios to others.
  • Courage to make difficult decisions and recommendations.  
  • Ability to understand and develop business cases, understand cost/benefit models.  
  • Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of people and skillsets across all departments and functionalities within the organization.  
  • Ability to analyze and grasp a situation quickly from different perspectives and create well-reasoned solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and with ambiguity.  
  • Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.

The base pay range for this position is $84,648 to $118,507 annually.  Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
