Who We're Looking For: As a key member of the Supply Chain team, the Senior Buyer will play a vital role in the purchasing activities the site providing leadership with the overall health of the product line. The Senior Buyer is considered a hands-on, experienced colleague and a problem solutions leader within the Supply Chain organization. About the Role:
- Responsible for ongoing procurement and negotiation of materials, components, and services to ensure timely delivery of goods and services within budget.
- Maintains supplier relationships, chooses the right suppliers, builds trust, and communicates regularly with them to ensure inventory levels comply with manufacturing goals while avoiding surplus material, and provides root cause analysis and proposes solutions based on analytics and data collection findings.
- Assures SAP procurement part parameters are properly set and updated as required.
- Supports cross functional forecasts, reviews and validates MRP uploads monthly.
- Manages projects (i.e., new product roll outs, exchanges, and end of life) while achieving team objectives, ensures there is no impact in service and works on new projects with cross-functional teams as needed.
- BA/BS in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or 10 years equivalent experience in a related manufacturing environment.
- Must have 5-7 years’ experience in SAP, MRP purchase module.
- Ability to work in cross-functional team environment and be able to communicate with technical and nontechnical associates.
- Experience with medical device manufacturing.
- CPM, Lean, Six Sigma or APEX certifications.
