What We Offer
Are you a seasoned Construction Project Manager ready to take on a dual role? We’re seeking a dynamic individual to not only lead our construction projects but also spearhead our Project Management Office (PMO) In this pivotal position, you’ll oversee the successful execution of Volvo Cars’ construction ventures while providing strategic direction to our PMO, ensuring alignment with our organizational vision, and optimizing project management practices.
 

As a Sr Project Manager & PMO Leader, your key responsibilities include:

  • Construction Project Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for construction projects, overseeing their successful execution from conception to completion.
  • PMO Leadership: Lead the Project Management Office, establishing and
    implementing best practices, standards, and methodologies to enhance project management across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures throughout all construction phases to uphold Volvo Cars' standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure safety compliance.
  • PMO Development: Drive the development and enhancement of PMO processes, tools, and capabilities to support effective project delivery and organizational growth.

 

What You’ll Bring
We are looking for a passionate individual committed to continuous improvement and eager to contribute their expertise. Your meticulous approach to work, coupled with strong organizational skills, will enhance team dynamics, and deliver top-notch solutions. Ideal candidates will exhibit the following characteristics:

 

  • Proficiency in construction project management, with a track record of driving successful outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills in stakeholder management and aligning projects with organizational objectives.
  • Leverage your experience and innovation skills to lead the development and enhancement of PMO processes and capabilities.

 

Requirements:

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Previous experience leading or managing a Project Management Office is highly desirable.
  • PMP and/or IPMA certification

 

This position is based at Volvo Cars’ international HQ in Gothenburg.
