This position is for a Manufacturing Regional Security Operations Supervisor and focuses on delivering the security strategy and industry best practices across U.S. manufacturing facilities.
What you'll do…
- Support multiple plants to manage security and fire operations for Manufacturing sites to include staffing requirements, access control, CCTV monitoring, fire inspections, and emergency support.
- Manage special projects and security initiatives as assigned.
- Manage a team of direct and matrix reports at multiple facilities.
- Participate as a security subject matter expert for new sites to provide guidance and security input.
- Assist with project management oversight for physical security and fire systems, as required.
- Develop monthly security awareness communications to be provided to employees.
- Resolve escalated issues with the contract security service provider.
- Conduct risk assessments of sites to determine if the operational model is adequate for site integrity.
- May perform the role of Incident Commander for fire, medical, or behavioral emergencies.
- Respond to behavioral situations and emergencies as needed and escalate appropriately to the North American Manufacturing Operations Manager.
- Actively participate as a member of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during an escalated event.
- Manage escalated issues with plant Operating Committee Management (OCM), as needed.
- Enhance emergency response capabilities by utilizing incident response tools and through the deployment of emergency response equipment for the company or local municipalities.
- Collaborate with People Matters, UAW, Labor Relations, and Safety representatives as necessary to discuss and resolve workplace issues.
- Identify and escalate physical security gaps through proactive security initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal skill teams to ensure unified alignment with all security and fire related matters.
- Collaborate with appropriate internal Ford skill teams and external work partners to plan for and provide security coverage for special events.
- Track and compile team metrics; using data to drive decision making and security strategy.
- Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal agencies.
You'll have…
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in law enforcement, military or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience leading and developing teams.
- Highly motivated, hands-on, self-starter with ability to think critically and operate in a dynamic ambiguous environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills; ability to navigate department technology platforms.
- Ability to multi-task, strong problem-solving, conflict management skills.
- Outstanding team building and communication skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills (soft skills).
- Must possess a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) or can obtain one within 30 days.

- Ten (10) years of law enforcement experience
- Seven (7) years supervisory experience.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Available to work 24x7, 365 days a year.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Experience in using data to drive strategy
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Establish priorities under changing conditions.
- Exhibit calm, rational behavior under stressful conditions.
- Administer duties and responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Show initiative and leadership.
- Possess a working knowledge of emergency response levels.
- Deliver results according to the Ford OS Behaviors.
