Medical Assistant - Comfort Clinic (Full-Time)

Boone Memorial Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team at the Comfort Clinic. In this role, you will provide essential clinical and administrative support to ensure high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. You’ll work closely with providers and fellow staff to create a welcoming and efficient healthcare experience for every patient.

Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program from a credentialed facility

Preferred:

• Certified Medical Assistant

• BLS certification (or willingness to obtain—BMH provides training)

• 1+ year of experience with electronic medical records (EMR)

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a courteous, professional manner

• Record and manage patient medical history and vital signs

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures

• Perform basic laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and EKGs

• Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider

• Schedule appointments, manage patient charts, and maintain medical records

• Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and assist in keeping the clinic clean and organized

• Provide health education and support to patients as directed
