CNA / Caregiver PRN Facility Floater St Charles County

If you like a variety in your schedule or looking for extra income for the holidays or new year, AW Health Care invites experienced, dedicated and compassionate CNAs and Caregivers, to apply to our Facility Floater position for our partner Independent living communities located in Wentzville, O'Fallon and Cottleville, MO areas. The Floater must be willing to travel to all locations and be willing to work 4 to 12 hour shifts.

Facility Floater Job Summary: The position of the CNA/Caregiver Facility Floater is to provide caring assistance with personal hygiene care, light meal prep, light housekeeping, changing bed linens and light laundry. Medication reminders and providing a safe and healthy environment is necessary. The Floater is to be available to cover vacant shifts or for a non-assigned new clients. The Facility Floater schedules are floor shift visits provided to the clients according to the client’s care plan. The Facility Floater must be willing to work in assisted living homes with pets if necessary and have a valid driver's license and their own personal, reliable vehicle with insurance coverage.

Floater schedule: Shifts can range from 4  hours to 12 hour shifts.  Shifts times can be from 7:00AM to 9:00PM. Availability of 5 to 7 days is preferred.

CNA/Caregiver Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have valid Driver's License, your own reliable transportation and vehicle insurance***
• Must have at least one year of professional caregiver experience preferably with the geriatric population
• Must be able to work with pets in client's assisted living home
• Must possess moderate computer skills, including word processing and data entry
• Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be a “team player” dedicated to providing a high level of customer service, with a positive attitude
• Must be able to communicate effectively and possess well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Must maintain required yearly training/education as mandated by agency

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED;
• Has the ability to be well organized and prioritize effectively;
• CNA preferred, but not necessary;
• Able to work with pets in client homes

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:
• Ability to participate in physical activity.
• Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity.
• Moderate lifting, 20-40 pounds.
• Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
