Job Description

Vice Presidents are primarily responsible for deal execution on live or high probability mandates and working with more senior team members to drive origination.  This includes the development and sensitization of financial models, marketing materials, internal and external presentations, as well as performing research and various analyses in support of new business generation and the execution of syndicated loan transactions.  Vice Presidents will have direct access to Executive Directors/Managing Directors and will be tasked with meaningful pitch and live deal activity.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Guide analysts' and associates' work within corporate models to develop base and sensitivity cases pro forma for proposed capitalization scenarios, outlining credible stress scenarios
  • Partner with coverage bankers to develop and execute calling strategies in preparation for taking on origination responsibilities
  • Drive the core content of pitch materials including market conditions, comps/RVAs, execution strategies and term sheets
  • Work directly with clients to coordinate business and financial due diligence to address internal credit questions
  • Evaluate corporate capitalization and debt maturities to develop recommendations on structure and timing
  • Prepare marketing materials, confidential information presentations, management presentations, and other presentations as needed
  • Actively track trends in the syndicated and institutional loan markets and high yield capital markets, summarizing findings in new and impactful marketing materials
  • Confidently represent the firm on legal calls, with materials views on the drafting of engagement papers, commitment documents and credit agreements
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the team, including the supervision, mentoring and development of analysts

Basic Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Strong analytical/technical and qualitative abilities
  • Strong financial and computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 6+ years of Investment Banking experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, CFA or other professional designations preferred but not required
  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses preferred; If unlicensed, registration must be completed within a designated period following the date of hire
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and external clients Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously
