IT Analyst/Programmer

Description

CTG is seeking to fill an IT Analyst/Programmer opening for our client in Rochester, MN.

 

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

 

Overview:

We are looking for someone to perform Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) development under the direction of our principal software engineer who is guiding our technical strategy on the Google Cloud Platform. We are building a team of IaC programmers, but the hiring process is taking longer than anticipated. We need this person for approximately 6 months with the potential to extend to 1 year if the work expands.

 

Duties:

• Provides IT support for vended and custom applications, including resolving highly complex issues, and assists with data security, redundancy, and support in collaboration with more senior technical staff.
• Conducts root-cause analysis by researching hardware environment and software application and system problems, works with colleagues and customers to resolve issues, documents resolution, and communicates resolution with customer.
• Regularly reviews applications and makes modifications and/or updates of a single system application or basic software and their associated hardware at multiple company sites to ensure currency and functionality within the established environment.
• Contributes to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom system software, and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased systems software, as well as the configuration and support of hardware systems across the company.
• Produces and maintains documentation such as systems requirements, designs, resource inventories and plans as requested.
• Interfaces routinely with colleagues who may be located at any of the company practices to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual collaboration and partnership.
• May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Experience:

• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) highly preferred

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in related field with 3 years of experience OR Associate's degree in related field with 5+ years of experience

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $45.00/hr to $52.00/hr. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.

Pay Range

USD $45.00 - USD $52.00 /Hr.
