Quality Control Lead
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Night shift 7pm-4am
The Quality Lead supports the Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager in the performance of his/her duties. Principal duties include the coordination of day to day activities of the Quality Lab, Quality Technicians and Inspectors and supporting the Quality Engineer and Quality Coordinator.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Adheres to company safety policies and good housekeeping practices.
- Trains Quality Technicians and Inspectors.
- Coordinates day to day activities and shift coverage of Technicians and Inspectors
- Reviews NMRs for completeness and inputs the information in the NMR Log.
- Generates weekly reports off the NMR Log
- CMM experience required
- Reviews inspection, measuring and testing data input by Technicians and Inspectors to ensure correctness, completeness and proper documentation of actions relating to out of spec conditions.
- Manages inspection forms, COA’s, and other documentation.
- Manages retain samples
- Performs verification checks and calibrations of specific equipment
- Coordinates with the third party labs for microbiological sampling and testing
- Ensures that all nonconforming material is properly identified, segregated and reported.
- Manages receiving inspections.
- Assists in product inspection, testing and measuring as required.
- Supports validation, qualification activities with Technician and Inspector coverage
- Reports food/product safety problems or risks to a supervisor or manager immediately or take action if possible
- Overtime may be required as needed
- Any other duties as assigned my management
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to work all shifts and perform overtime
- Previous experience as a quality control inspector preferred.
- Future training and/or education may be necessary to further job skills.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate mean, median, and mode, and apply SPC to the quality processes
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Virtual Client to perform effectively in daily activities
- Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications.
