THE ROLE

DEPT® Commerce is opening up a search for talent in the content management/production support space. Candidates must have exposure to Contentful, our client’s CMS system for content management. This role has a heavy emphasis on coordination of digital assets.

We seek a contractor for a role as content production specialist for a 3 month period to support client work with their enterprise CMS, Contentful. There is a possibility of extension. Ideal candidates will have experience with loading various artifacts, whether video, audio, copy or design, into the system.

Key Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Content manager, specifically with the tool Contentful
  • Hands on experience with MS Office and WordPress
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Familiarity with social media
  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organizational and time-management skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Load content into platforms(s) for various content management system needs
  • Flag issues with production, ensure compliance with branding guidelines
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 

  • Fluency in English

Work Environment: Remote position.  Must be willing to work 4 hours of overlap with American timezones.

The anticipated compensation range for this position is dependent on experience. Our goal is to bring in someone full-time, but we are open to contractors. Compensation  is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.
