This is a hybrid position and you must be able to work onsite when required.
Job Description
- Test software products for stability, usability, precision, accuracy, and reliability.
- Formulate and maintain test strategies; creating test abstracts, test cases and plans for regression and functional testing of software products.
- Work directly with the project team members, including software engineers, along the software development process to execute the software test strategy by writing test plans, executing tests, and preparing test reports. Utilize the principals of the software development life cycle (IEC 62304) throughout the entire QA process.
- Participate in product meetings throughout the development process to help guide the delivery of a quality product.
- Utilize project planning and monitoring methods to ensure timely project completion.
- Report problems via the defect tracking system by documenting what failed and the steps to reproduce. Verify code fixes and sign off on resolutions.
- Analyze test results and prepare SQE summary reports.
- Ensure that software used in the development and manufacturing of medical devices is in accordance with ISO13485, the QSR, and the KMC Quality Procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with 2 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with test case creation and development required
- Experience performing engineering tests and formal verification testing
- Experience generating project documentation for testing
- Must be detail-oriented individual with solid organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Good understanding of QA processes and methodologies in a software development environment
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience using defect management and test management tools
- Able to work in a fast-paced, independent and team-based environment
- Able to communicate well with both technical and non-technical people
- Experience with working in a regulated environment a plus
- Knowledge of Risk Management and Risk Analysis process a plus
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodology is a plus
- Experience with Jira/DevOps or similar Agile process tools is a plus
