This position assists with direct patient care and unit operations. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs a variety of duties to support the department as it relates to direct patient care. Candidates with experience in behavioral health are encouraged to apply!

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Maintains proper physical and emotional patient environment.
• Performs clerical duties to enhance the functioning of the unit.
• Provides assistance in personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Assists the RN with general patient care.
• Assists with body movement and ambulation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course within one year of hire required. Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) required within 18 months of hire. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS); and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) required within 6 months of hire.
• A minimum of one year of directly related work experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in suite of Microsoft applications is desired.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
