Radiology Assistant - Part Time

Description

• Assists technologist with general care of patient and performance of radiographic procedures as required.
• Transports patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed in a timely manner to the nursing unit as needed.
• Maintains the privacy of the patient while transporting and assisting the patient in preparation for exams.
• Greats patient pleasantly.
• Checks patient’s id with requests for service.
• Answers phone in patient holding area.
• Manage disc copies/electronic transfer of images to other facilities.
• Assists clerical staff and performs related clerical duties.
• Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalency, or student completing high school educational requirements. 

Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated computer skills preferred. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. Verbal ability required to understand written and verbal instructions.  

Physical Requirements:

• Motor coordination and finger dexterity required to operate equipment. 
• Work is routinely of light to medium demand. 
• Occasional lifting requirements of a minimum of 50 pounds. 
• Stand­ing, sitting, walking, bend­ing, reaching, pushing and pulling required. 
• Exposure to developer and fixer chemicals.
