Sr Financial Analyst - Vertical Integration

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

As a detail-oriented finance professional looking to make a significant impact by supporting Blue Origin's Supply Chain finance team, the Financial Analyst III will provide in-depth financial analysis, guidance, and recommendations to support vertical integration activities. This role requires extensive knowledge in marginal cost analysis and a well-developed understanding of manufacturing and product costing. The role will also support the monthly business reviews, variance analysis, and all major financial planning processes (Monthly Close & Reporting, Annual Operating Plan, and Multi-Year Strategic Plan) as a business partner for the Business Operation's team and Blue Battery factory.

This Finance Analyst will look to Implement controls, processes, and risk management initiatives including performance indicators to manage operational and financial performance. Our team is seeking a proactive individual with excellent financial acumen, experience in make/buy modelling, inorganic acquisitions (incl. valuation), and has the attention to detail to thrive and support our mission in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of financial experience
• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or other highly analytical field.
• Excellent communicator; articulate complex concepts to collaborators both in writing and verbally
• Solid understanding of financial documents and operations performance drivers
• Intellectual curiosity and passion for developing new skills
• Proven financial modelling experience
• Initiative, drive, and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in project and cost accounting, and rate development
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion 
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

• MBA, CPA, or Accounting experience
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
• Experience with Tableau
• Experience with SQL querying, data mining

 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $120,850.00-$169,189.65
