From irrigation and good quality seeds to, more recently, rural collection centers where farmers can sell their produce, we provide simple innovations that help rural communities get out of poverty and adapt to climate change. </p> <p>iDE is recruiting a <strong>Field Consultant</strong> for <strong>Paul Polak </strong><strong>(Fail Fast Innovation Award)) Carbon Credit Piloting Project </strong>for its Pokhara, Nepal</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Terms of Reference for a Field Consultant under Paul Polak (Fail Fast Innovation Award)) Carbon Credit Piloting Project </strong></p> <p><strong>Title:</strong> Field Consultant</p> <p><strong>Reporting:</strong> Agriculture Program Lead</p> <p>Matrix reporting: Program and Operations Manager</p> <p>Type of appointment: Temporary (Contract) as per fund availability</p> <p>Location: Pokhara</p> <p>Duration: Till December 2023</p> <p> <strong>Major Tasks and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong><strong>1 Project Implementation:</strong> The field consultant will oversee the implementation of carbon credit projects activities:<br/></strong></p><ul> <li>Monitor data collection of farmers and should also responsible for conducting fieldwork to verify carbon credits, Regular visiting the sites where carbon-reducing program are taking place, such as regenerField Consultantative agriculture, </li> <li> Develop and implement activity Workplan on Regenerative agriculture such as: No-till / minimum till farming; Composting; Biochar; Crop rotation; Intercropping; Cover crops; Livestock integration; Growing perennial crops; Agroforestry; Work with at least 50 farmers for the piloting at Kaski districts. Including ensuring that projects are implemented in accordance with applicable design objectives.</li> <li> <strong>2 </strong><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:</strong> The field consultant will be engage with stakeholders, including project partners, local communities, and government agencies, to ensure that the project is aligned with their needs and expectations. </li> <li> <strong>3 </strong><strong>Carbon Credit Monitoring:</strong> The field consultant will develop and implement a monitoring and reporting plan for carbon credits generated by the project, including tracking project performance, verifying carbon credits, and preparing carbon credit reports.</li> <li> <strong>4 </strong><strong>Project Management:</strong> The field consultant will manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards as per project compliance.</li> <li>5<strong>Reporting:</strong> The field consultant will prepare regular project status reports, including progress updates, financial reports, and risk assessments</li> <li>6 <strong>Knowledge Management:</strong> The field consultant will ensure that project knowledge and lessons learned are captured and shared across the organization, and with external partners and stakeholders.</li> <li>7 <strong>Compliance: </strong>The field consultant will ensure that the project complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including environmental regulations, regenerative agriculture and that project activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.</li> <li>8 <strong>Capacity Building:</strong> The field consultant will provide technical assistance and capacity building support to project partners and local communities to enhance their understanding of carbon credit projects, and build their capacity to participate in project implementation and monitoring.</li> <li> <strong>9 <strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong> The field consultant will identify opportunities for process improvement, and implement changes to improve project performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.</strong> </li> </ul><p><strong>Key Requirements: </strong></p><ul> <li>Minimum Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, majoring in Soil Science or o
