Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer within Integration Services to join our team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville area).  As a Software Engineer, Senior, you will work with a group of associates on one or more internal systems, and/or business applications, including the development, integration, and testing of systems in compliance with development best practices.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or directly related year for year experience.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in advanced programming languages

We have a preference for:

  • Hands on coding experience with .Net and/or Java programming languages; NodeJS is a plus.
  • Microservice architectural design including REST and SOAP Webservice / API development.
  • Experience with a relational database such as SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment environments such as Azure Dev Ops
  • Technical familiarity and interfacing with messaging technologies such as or similar to MQ, EMS, Kafka, etc.
  • Hands-on configuration experience with API Management and Gateway toolsets a big plus

The Sr Software Engineer's key responsibilities are:

  • Contributes as a high functioning member of the Integration Services API/Webservice application developers.
  • Defines and executes software development integration processes and data management controls based on industry best practices to ensure each development initiative meets user and business requirements on a consistent and repeatable basis.
  • Designs and develops custom software that meets business and user requirements.
  • Provides team production support duties such as leading Root Cause and Corrective/ Preventative Action Initiatives.
  • Mentors junior engineers.
  • Provides Level of Effort (LOE) estimates in response to product requests and works with the requestor and Data Management manager to refine and prioritize work.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
