Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for an Engineering Manager, Infrastructure who will bring robust cloud infrastructure experience. You will report to the Head of Cloud Infrastructure and will be responsible for leading teams of Enablement and Data Reliability engineers in the creation, support, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure technology, which backs a hyper growth SaaS solution.

A day in the life of an Engineer Manager at Calendly:

In partnership with development, product, and business stakeholders, you set the foundation on which everyone else builds, and create the tooling to make it all work together. Your teams strive for excellence in user experience, automation, and reliability.

At Calendly, you will take your infrastructure expertise to the next level as you lead teams to drive efficiency through developer enablement, and tooling around our data tier. On a typical day, you will be working on:

• Enhancing our data infrastructure by applying industry best practices and processes
• Brainstorming solutions and refining the scope of engineer tooling
• Coaching, mentoring and onboarding new team members
• Building and driving roadmaps for your teams informed by technical needs and stakeholder challenges
• Ensuring the career development, satisfaction, and productivity of your teams
• Identifying future technical needs and create plans to meet them
• Overseeing educational initiatives to provide resources to the engineering organization to evangelize best practices
• Providing feedback to help us continuously grow and improve

What do we need from you?

• 5+ years of proven ability in cloud infrastructure (or software development combined with infrastructure)
• 2+ years in a management role or a technical lead role
• Experience in managing large scale, highly available cloud infrastructure
• Expertise in designing and evangelizing secure deployment policies, procedures, and processes
• Experience helping to make technical decisions and providing mentorship to solve problems
• Familiarity with GCP, Kubernetes, and/or PostgreSQL
• You are a great communicator who can succinctly explain complex technical concepts
• Previous experience working with cross functional teams and implementing solutions
• Professional experience working with SaaS applications
• You stay up to date on the latest technologies and strategies
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
