Associate, Athlete Partnerships

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the successful execution of memorabilia signings and events.  This position will support and serve as a key on the execution and relationship before, during, and after signings/events with various departments, NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA teams, professional athletes, and agents. This individual must be able to work with other business units within Fanatics.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist and lead in the execution of athlete signings and events
• Oversee send in process with vendor/third party vendors for signings and monthly recap reports
• Oversee athlete/agent charity and donation requests and monthly recap reports
• Communicate effectively and professionally with athletes and agents
• Reconciliation of monthly expense reports/receipts for signings 
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times as the company’s representative during the signing process
• Nights, weekends, and extensive travel required for position.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
• Superior communication skills on various levels. Must have articulate speech, proper business writing skills, ability to listen to client and quickly address any concerns
• Work well under pressure. This industry is often driven by hot market events which require short lead-time negotiation and coordination to deliver finished product during the critical time periods
• Sports knowledge a must

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand 8 to 12 hours per day if attending signings or events
• May be expected to walk up to several miles a day at off-site events
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone

 

 

In New York City, the salary range for this position is $70,000-$82,500, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In Los Angeles, the salary range is $63,000.00-$80,000.00. These salary ranges are specific to NYC or Los Angeles and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
