Compensation: $70,000-$90,000/year + Incentives

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Place daily parts orders and post incoming orders
  • Supervise stock order procedures
  • Oversee orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
  • Match, approve and forward purchase orders to the accounting office
  • Pull and fill orders from stock
  • Pull orders for delivery to body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number
  • Coordinate a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork
  • Verify will-call and back-order files weekly, and return to vendors or stock those items not picked up or required
  • Issue credit for parts returned, and ensure that the original invoice or its number is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from an outside source and submit an emergency order if necessary
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts
  • Return cores in timely manner and follow up for receipt of credit
  • Assist all customers (retail, wholesale, and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
  • Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate Tool
  • Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers
  • Make sales call to potential customers creating a log of weekly stops with customer information
  • Work with Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
  • Work with Parts Director or Inventory Control Manager before ordering large Inventory purchases
  • Answer phone calls promptly, providing price quotes and other information needed
  • Participate in all training programs that are made available
  • Keep current on new products and product updates
  • Utilize Express Auto Parts for all outside parts and service related items
  • Update monthly sales brochures/specials and make sure they are distributed to local customers
  • Work with marketing for monthly creation of specials
  • Train and manage staff in company policies and ensure adherence to all company policies
  • Motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all department staff conducting disciplinary action or PIP’s as needed and administer annual performance evaluations for staff with thoughtful feedback
  • Appraise staff productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status
  • Complete employee terminations based on policy violations with HR approval
  • Manage all staff pay rates and hours worked, schedules, time off, and other administrative duties
  • Coordinate with the Recruiting Department to interview and hire department staff
  • Ensure that any employee relations issues or concerns are addressed and escalated to HR when necessary
  • Monitor and assist in the implementation of company initiatives and legal compliance measures and ensure the communication of company news on a regular basis
  • Ensure Walser service processes and scripts are followed by employees
  • Support the career and professional development of staff

What You Bring:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years prior parts experience
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, leverage, carry, and manipulate packages occasionally weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, handle frequent interruptions and shifting priorities
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Must be friendly and a team player
