Major Responsibilities:

• Assists in the assessment of the needs of the patient. Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Participates in development, interpretation, documentation of plan of care for each patient. Provides patient and/or family teaching as necessary and acts as a liaison between patient/family and physician. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with office standards. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Provides skilled and safe nursing care to assigned patients. Assists physician with examination/treatments. Follows through on predictable problems. Provides safe patient care. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of normal limits of vital signs and commonly used lab tests by reporting abnormal findings
