The Role at a Glance

We’re excited to bring on a Senior Associate Actuary, Life Pricing to play an integral role in pricing & analyzing Lincoln’s IUL, VUL, and term products. You will direct, develop and perform complex actuarial analysis to drive pricing decisions that meet diverse sets of profitability, risk and sales goals.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Build & maintain pricing models in MG-ALFA to conduct pricing & financial analysis for Lincoln’s IUL, VUL, and term products
  • Provide pricing analysis for both existing products & to evaluate feasibility of new products or features to support market expansion
  • Analyze risk & summarize key findings for senior leaders to drive strategic pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with other areas including ERM, valuation, product & inforce management to ensure pricing strategies meet all profitability, risk, and sales targets
  • Partner with the Centralized Pricing Model (CPM) and Quality of New Business (QNB) teams to validate & improve upon pricing models

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:  

  • 5-7+ years of experience in actuarial science that aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years of actuarial experience
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
  • Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience; educational concentration in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or Statistics is preferred 

Nice-to-haves:

  • MG-ALFA experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel background including VBA
  • Life insurance or annuity product knowledge including variable universal life and universal life
