Role and Responsibilities
This position will oversee and lead the People Analytics team and is responsible for providing key insights through the analysis of data. In doing so, this equips the Samsung Electronics America (SEA) HR (People Team) and business leaders across the enterprise in better understanding workforce trends and the impact of HR programs. Furthermore, these analyses help business leaders make informed decisions based on evidence in data across people and in competing amongst the external market.
Develops and executes Annual and Quarterly HR Analytics plans to enable SEA 3-year HR strategy and annual Action plan
Oversees consistent tracking and analysis of key HR performance metrics to provide business leaders with actionable insights
Integrates business performance and market forecasting into workforce planning to ensure headcount allocation is aligned with business growth priorities
Leads preparation and delivery of periodic reports and data visualizations including but not limited to: workforce planning reports for across business divisions, Succession planning, Leadership & Development reports, Talent review data, and workforce trend dashboards.
Supports the team and leads the ability to analyze, forecast and showcase the impact of HR programs on turnover, retention and key measures throughout the employee life-cycle.
Partners with HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent & Culture, DE&I, Shared Service Center and our various Centers of Excellences & stakeholders to enhance talent and succession planning and provide effective solutions/recommendations for planning initiatives. As well as, ways to make enhancements to HR Operations and programs.
Ensures there is support in providing HR Executive Leadership with reports and/or presentations, as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Intelligence Analytics, Human Resources, or a related area of study and 8+ years of relevant experience is required OR Master’s in a related field, with 6 years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrated ability on how to approach ad-hoc reports and then translate into complex data with actionable insights
Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application in the business context.
Strong mathematical skills including, statistics, modelling and forecasting, financial planning and risk management capabilities are preferred.
Advanced Excel skills and formulas are critical.
Strong PowerPoint skills.
Experience using Data visualization tools including Tableau
Experience managing direct reports
Ability to partner, influence, and work effectively with all levels of an organization
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience.
Preferred experience with Alteryx, Python, R, and SQL
Comfortable working in a dynamic fast paced industry and matrix organization with multiple constituents
