SENIOR REGISTERED NURSE SUPERVISOR
Alexander Nininger State Veterans’ Nursing Home
Pembroke Pines, Broward County
Annual Salary: $70,699.20 plus competitive are differential (CAD) of $2,787.20
Paid Bi-Weekly
SHIFT: 3pm – 11:30pm

The FDVA Nursing State Veterans’ Nursing Homes and Domiciliary are designated employment sites for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
- From funds available, the program may make nursing education loan repayments of up to $4,000.00 per year, per nurse enrolled in the program, for a maximum of four years.
- Payment is made at the end of each 12-month enrollment period and made directly to the participant’s lender.
- Enrollment and payment of awards is based on available funds.
Other vacant SRNS positions/shifts may be filled from this advertisement within Six (6) months of the closing date.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends.
- Valid Licensure as a State of Florida Registered Nurse.
- Supervisory and/or nurse administrator experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Successful Completion of a current Level II Background Screening to include, but not limited to finger printing and a Drug Test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous geriatric population long-term care experience.
- Experience in staff development / in-service training.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provide quality professional care to the veteran residents to ensure their health, safety and security in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act. Provide initial and ongoing assessment of the resident population. Perform assigned duties to include but not limited to administration of medications and treatments per MD order, monitoring and providing interventions to meet the needs of the resident, completing accurate clinical documentation reflective of resident’s current status and providing supervision and guidance
