We have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Worker to join our friendly team. At Bal Edmund, we provide temporary accommodation service to single adults with a diagnosed mental health condition and additional support needs. Our aim is to equip people with the skills necessary to live independently in the community. If you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives, then this is a rewarding opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.

The role of Project Worker will include:
- Regularly assessing the needs of customers by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training and employment
- Supporting customers to manage their day to day living independently i.e. with cooking and cleaning
- Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions
- Assisting customers with managing finances and welfare benefits
- Encouraging social inclusion and helping customers to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem
- Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the customers and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
- Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks
Desirable skills and experiences:
- Previous experience working with people who have experienced mental health issues
- Good interpersonal and customer care skills
- Ability to keep accurate records and clearly communicate relevant information
- Some knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
- Expertise in support planning, key working, risk assessment and safeguarding
