Vestas Global Procurement is an award winning best in class Procurement function within the Worlds leading OEM for sustainable Energy Solutions. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including co-leading cross-functional Module teams, negotiations, Value creation initiatives, Module strategy development and implementation and Supplier Account Management. The Direct Materials procurement department is globally responsible for procurement of all direct materials for our global product portfolio
 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implements cost-out initiatives in a continuous manner on the Direct Material spend across all platforms delivering a significant cost-out pipeline for our entire spend while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier service levels
  • Design and deliver cost-out program on Direct Material Procurement across platforms
  • Scope out cost-out ideation workshops (internal and with suppliers) and help plan, prepare, and facilitate
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal and external stakeholders
  • Support business case building towards cost-out pipeline
  • Support and facilitate negotiation preparation, including fact-pack development, dry-run execution, etc. (including planning and executing commercial weeks) and measure, track, and report on performance
  • Communicate program status and progress towards senior stakeholders and be an active part of the Direct Materials procurement Leadership Team and represent this towards internal and external stakeholders

 

Qualifications

  • MSc or equivalent with a relevant area of study, e.g., business, economics, mechanical engineering, etc.
  • Proven +5 year track-record within Procurement, Finance or Project Management
  • Experience with delivering larger cost-out programs towards senior stakeholders.
  • Effective project management skills
  • Advanced sourcing and supply base mgmt. toolkit.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good people leadership skills and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
