Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) located in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a highly qualified mid-level Flight Deck Avionics Engineer to develop leading edge solutions to directly support the warfighter. The primary work assignment for the candidate selected for the role will be performed across the AEW&C platforms. The primary work for this position includes designing, testing, and certifying Flight Deck Avionics modifications as well as providing technical support and clarification for flight-deck avionics-related issues.

    

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers to develop and document complex flight deck avionics system and subsystem requirements

  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, subsystem, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications

  • Tests and validates to ensure system and subsystem designs meet operational and functional requirements

  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system and subsystem integration and compliance with requirements

  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Flight Deck avionics integration experience

  • Electrical Engineering degree

  • Civilian and/or military aircraft certification experience

This is a 1st shift position.
